We recognise that our day to day business activity has an impact and so we are committed to continually improving our environmental performance, preventing pollution and supporting a sustainable approach to our future business activities, procurement and office environments.
We are committed to:
- Complying with all relevant legislation and regulations.
- Using a computer operating system and hardware which reduces energy use and extends equipment lifespan. Supporting employees with the ability (when appropriate) to work from home and reduce individual journeys.
- Recycling of the things we use including toner cartridges, confidential waste paper and mobile phones.
- Ensuring our redundant IT equipment is disposed of in accordance with the W.E.E.E. directive and furniture is recycled to other users.
We encourage all our employees to become to give their time, energy and skills to support local charities and organisations.
Our employees’ involvement may be as a “one off” to fund raise for a particular organisation or getting more involved as members of committees or charitable trustees to share their abilities or just to provide extra hands to help.
The staff charity also is available to support chosen charities or match funds raised and we have found the benefits to be completely two-way – making a difference to those who are supported and also giving our employees the chance to develop themselves by giving something back.
