Brigit has over 20 years of experience in personal injury litigation and has been specialising in asbestos-related diseases for the last 10 years.
She has a wealth of experience of dealing with all types of asbestos claims and leads a talented team in our Plymouth office. She has a depth of knowledge which allows her to thoroughly investigate all aspects of asbestos exposure and to identify potential defendants and their insurers.
Brigit has a passion for helping families recover significant compensation for mesothelioma, lung cancer, asbestosis, and pleural thickening. She has a very empathetic approach and is genuinely inspired to help her clients at what is a very difficult time in their lives. As well as helping people who have been exposed to asbestos in their working life, Brigit has successfully pursued claims on behalf of people who have been affected by secondary asbestos exposure. This includes clients who have been diagnosed with asbestos disease due to hugging loved ones on their return home from work, and wives who have washed their husband’s overalls.

Activities and Achievements
Brigit is also a Senior Litigator with APIL, the organisation that represents injured people and she works closely with SWASAG (South West Asbestos Support & Awareness Group) to provide help and support to patients and their families who are suffering from mesothelioma.
Outside of work Brigit loves fitness and can often be found running, cycling or in her local gym. She also loves to walk her cockapoo and enjoys travelling.
