He has also successfully pursued claims on behalf of many people who have been exposed to asbestos on a secondary basis, such as through the hugging of loved ones who have come home with their clothes covered in asbestos dust. This has included a widely reported ground-breaking claim involving secondary asbestosis.
Andrew has been involved in many cases where women have been diagnosed with mesothelioma following asbestos exposure. Men are often exposed to asbestos because historically, they have tended to work in traditional industries that are high-risk occupations for asbestos exposure, such as construction workers, mechanics and engineers. Andrew has also supported female clients who have worked in schools, banks, council buildings, offices and hairdressing salons. Sadly cases of asbestos exposure in women are increasing and Andrew continues to help his clients make successful mesothelioma claims.
Andrew has been at the forefront of highlighting the link between asbestos exposure and lung cancer. He has led many campaigns to raise awareness of the dangers of asbestos and to highlight the illnesses that it can cause. During his career he has enjoyed enormous success against defendants and their insurers, including the settlement of pioneering asbestos claims.
He has many years of experience helping people with occupational asthma claims and can help to secure maximum occupational asthma compensation.
Andrew is well known for conducting litigation quickly in order to ensure that asbestos sufferers can see their claims concluded with the utmost urgency. However, he ensures that he deals with the claims in an understanding and empathetic manner, as he understands the enormous shock that asbestos sufferers can experience. He regularly meets lung cancer nurses and asbestos specialist doctors to discuss claims. He also provides training and legal updates to medical staff throughout England and Wales. In addition, he supports and attends asbestos support groups and provides reassurance and help to asbestos sufferers and their families.
