Mrs P contracted asbestosis through washing the clothes of her father, brother and husband. All three men used to work at the Devonport Dock Yard in Plymouth where they were exposed to asbestos dust.
They would unwittingly bring this dust home on their overalls and Mrs P would inhale the dust whilst washing their clothes over a period of some 25 years. The claim was settled for between £100,000 to £200,000.
