Novum Law has just announced three new key appointments as demand continues to grow for its expert legal services, despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
Associate Solicitor Rhiannon Davies joins as an industrial disease specialist, based in our Cardiff office, focusing on asbestos-related diseases, and work-related conditions, such as asthma and cancer, respiratory injury and exposure to dangerous chemicals.
Rhiannon has over 15 years of experience specialising in industrial disease claims. She has in-depth knowledge on both sides of the claims process and spent 10 years acting for defendants under instruction from insurers. This has given her unique insight into the evidence required for successful claims involving maximum compensation.
Rhiannon said: “I’m excited to be joining at a time when the business is expanding so rapidly. Novum Law’s Cardiff office launched only two years ago, but in that time it has grown to be a force to be reckoned with as more and more people seek our specialist industrial disease services.”
Phillip Gower, who heads up Novum Law’s Cardiff office, has been promoted to a Director of Novum Law following significant business growth since its launch in 2019, as demand grows for its specialist services throughout South Wales.
Another new arrival is Brigit Nolan, a highly experienced legal expert who joins as a Senior Associate focusing on serious personal injury compensation claims. Based in Novum Law’s Plymouth office, Brigit has extensive experience in claims involving public liability, as well as road traffic accidents, and work-related accidents as well as asbestos-related claims, including mesothelioma compensation.
Brigit said: “I’m passionate about helping people who’ve been injured through no fault of their own, and helping them to navigate the compensation process so they get access to the justice they deserve. I’m thrilled to be strengthening the Plymouth team’s personal injury expertise and look forward to helping even more people throughout Plymouth and the surrounding area.”
Last but by no means least, Alan Jolliffe has joined Novum Law’s Southampton office as Senior Litigation Executive. Alan has a wealth of knowledge of industrial disease compensation, having worked in the field for over 35 years, and has helped many people with noise-induced hearing loss claims and asbestos-related diseases.
Alan said: “Clients are at the heart of everything I do, and my main goal is to ensure I secure the best possible result for them. I’m thrilled to be part of the growing team in Southampton.”
Tim Robinson, Finance Director of Novum Law, said: “It’s gratifying that despite the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been able to grow our business, increase market share and recruit more talented lawyers to help us look after our clients’ best interests. A very warm welcome to all our new team members, and congratulations to Phillip Gower from our Cardiff office on his well-deserved promotion.”
