Spinal injuries are becoming increasingly common and there are now around 50,000 people living with a spinal cord injury (SCI) in the UK.
Charities, such as the Spinal Injuries Association provide a vital lifeline and much-needed support for all those affected by spinal cord injuries. They provide practical advice through a set of dedicated volunteers who are all spinal cord injured themselves and therefore uniquely able to support others with SCI.
Earlier this month, Novum Law was proud to become a business member of the Spinal Injuries Association (SIA). The scheme unites experts from various industries to work with SIA towards their shared vision which is “a fulfilled life for everyone affected by a spinal cord injury.”
Our specialist personal injury solicitors, who have many years of experience providing legal advice to people with SCI and their families, have pledged to raise awareness of SIA, take part in their campaigning, and to support their fundraising efforts.
Speaking about our commitment to create lasting, positive change for the SCI community, Novum Law Director Anna Cole says:
“Spinal cord injuries can happen in an instant, but they can change your life forever. At Novum Law, we have helped and supported many people who have sustained spinal injuries through no fault of their own to get the maximum compensation, rehabilitation and specialist care they need to move on with their lives.
“We have a team of specialist personal injury solicitors with vast experience in spinal cord injury. We can help no matter how complex or challenging the claim is, and we will always work hard to secure the maximum compensation and rehabilitation those with SCI deserve.
“It is an honour to support the Spinal Injuries Association’s incredible work helping those with SCI and their families to achieve the best possible outcomes and live fulfilled and independent lives.”
If you or a loved one has sustained a spinal cord injury because of the negligent actions of someone else, Novum Law can help you make a claim for personal injury compensation.
