Smile4Wessex 14th Gala Dinner

  • Posted

It’s hard to believe but this Saturday (13 October 2018) marks the 14th annual charity Gala Dinner for Smile4Wessex, the charity dedicated to supporting the Wessex Neurological Centre  based at University Hospital Southampton.

The glittering Gala Dinner is Smile4Wessex’s premier event in its fundraising calendar and will take place again this year at Southampton’s prestigious Hampshire Ballroom at the Hilton Ageas Bowl.

Novum Law has long been a keen supporter of Smile4Wessex and its fantastic work raising money to enhance the range and quality of care and treatment provided at the pioneering Wessex Neurological Centre in Southampton.

The Centre serves a population of over three million and treats people with neurological conditions from across the South of England, including the Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands.

Severe brain injuries, spinal injuries, brain tumours, strokes, Alzheimer’s disease, epilepsy, brain haemorrhages and motor neurone disease (MND) are just some of the conditions that are treated at the Centre.

Smile4Wessex’s goal is to ensure the Wessex Neurological continues to be equipped with the very latest and best, cutting edge technology and facilities to benefit those with brain, spinal or nerve conditions who need the expert, specialist care it provides.

Guests at the fundraising event will enjoy a sparkling drinks reception, an excellent three-course meal and after-dinner entertainment provided by the talented live band ‘The Strand’, one of the South’s best party bands and long-time champions of Smile4Wessex’s work.

We’re delighted to be joined again at the event by Mark and Kathryn Grimes from the Wight Brainy Bunch, a charity they set up after Mark was diagnosed with a brain tumour three years’ ago.

Also joining our table will be the brilliant team from Island Rehabilitation Practice, which provides specialist, ongoing neurological rehabilitation services to residents of the Isle of Wight and the surrounding area.

The Gala promises to be another great evening and we’re looking forward to welcoming our guests and helping to raise even more money for neurological patients throughout the South.
