Specialist asbestos disease lawyers from Novum Law have taken part in a number of events across the country to mark Action Mesothelioma Day on 3rd July.
This is an annual event when asbestos support groups together with sufferers and their families hold a variety of events to raise awareness of the incurable cancer, mesothelioma linked to past asbestos exposure. The disease causes the death of an estimated 2,500 people per year in the UK alone, often as a result of exposure to harmful asbestos dust many decades’ ago.
Today, Graeme Chisholm of Novum Law helped at Guys hospital where an array of freshly baked cakes were on sale to raise funds for the support group set up at Guys for the families and victims of mesothelioma. The money raised will also be shared with the national charity Mesothelioma UK.
