Strong performance for personal injury firm Novum Law in Chambers & Partners 2017 rankings
Novum Law, the specialist personal injury law firm based in Swindon, has been given the highest ranking by the independent 2017 Chambers & Partners legal directory.
The Chambers legal directory is highly regarded by the profession as an independent guide which ranks the most outstanding law firms and lawyers in the UK, has given Novum Law the highest ranking available – a band 1 rating – making it the highest ranked personal injury law firm in Swindon and the surrounding area.
According to Chambers & Partners, Novum Law has an ‘expanding presence across the South West, offering notable strength in industrial disease cases and catastrophic injury claims.’ The firm is also ‘particularly highlighted for its experience in complex neurological injuries.’
Novum Law Director Huw Ponting retained his exceptional band 1 ranking as a specialist personal injury lawyer representing clients in complex and high-value neurological cases. Clients described him as “extremely helpful and caring,” while other commentators highlighted his “very good eye for the line of attack to adopt in litigation.”
Special mention was given to Neil Elliott, another Director of Novum Law who heads up the firm’s Salisbury office. He retained his band 2 ranking with Chambers & Partners commenting: “Neil frequently acts on complex personal injury claims, including those arising from head injuries. He also draws on notable clinical negligence expertise. Interviewees note that he is ‘outstanding both with clients and counsel’ and describe him as ‘very understanding’ and able to ‘look at the whole picture.’”
The Chambers Guide also included a band 2 ranking for Novum Law’s newest office in Southampton which opened its doors for the first time just eight months’ ago specialising in helping people affected by respiratory diseases due to past exposure to asbestos. Novum Law Partner Lynn Yeates, based in Southampton, was recognised for her 15 years’ experience focusing on asbestos-related compensation claims.
