Specialist asbestos disease lawyers from Novum Law have taken part in a number of events across the country to mark Action Mesothelioma Day on 3rd July. This is an annual event when asbestos support groups together with sufferers and their families hold a variety of events to raise awareness of the incurable cancer, mesothelioma linked to past asbestos exposure. The disease causes the death of an estimated 2,500 people per year in the UK alone, often as a result of exposure to harmful asbestos dust many decades’ ago.
On Friday 3rd July Andrew Stinchcombe and Andrew Walker of specialist asbestos disease lawyers, Novum Law, attended Saltram House in Plymouth, to support Action Mesothelioma Day. A release of white doves took place in memory of those who have suffered from mesothelioma and relatives were invited to lay a flower at the base of the commemorative tree. Andrew Stinchcombe commented: “Novum Law is proud to sponsor the dove release and to support those families who have seen for themselves the devastating effects of this dreadful disease and the asbestos legacy in the UK.”
