Novum Law is extending its practice with the launch of a new personal injury service in Plymouth, following the appointment of Associate Solicitor, Rebecca Brisley.
The introduction of a new, serious personal injury service in Plymouth is an important development for Novum Law as it looks to grow its expert legal advice services throughout the South of England and further afield.
Novum Law’s Plymouth office is based in Argosy House on Longbridge Road.
Rebecca, who joins from Wolferstans Solicitors, where she worked as an Associate Solicitor for three years, will head up the serious personal injury team. She will offer legal advice and support to people severely harmed in road traffic accidents, work incidents, accidents in the line of duty, sports accidents, and accidents in public or private places.
Rebecca has always lived and worked in Plymouth and is a University of Plymouth law graduate. She has 15 years’ experience of working in personal injury law and began her legal career at Gill Akaster LLP in Plymouth (now GA Solicitors) in 2005, handling a range of personal injury claims.
She specialises in claimant-only cases involving road traffic accidents, employers’ liability, public liability, industrial disease and criminal injury compensation claims. Previously, Rebecca set up and coordinated a free monthly legal clinic for armed forces personnel at 42 Commando Bickleigh Barracks.
Speaking about her appointment, Rebecca said:
“I am delighted to have this unique opportunity to launch a specialist serious personal injury practice in my home town. Novum Law already has an excellent, well-established reputation for helping people in Plymouth and the surrounding area diagnosed with asbestos disease. I am looking forward to extending our services to include representing clients who’ve sustained serious, life-changing injuries through no fault of their own.”
Andrew Walker, Director of Novum Law’s Plymouth office said:
“This is an exciting time to be joining Novum Law when we are rapidly expanding and looking to strengthen our position as a leading, national specialist law firm.
“We are thrilled to have Rebecca on board. She is a talented and experienced personal injury solicitor who is passionate about helping clients and making a positive difference in their lives. She will be a real asset to our team, enabling us to help even more people who have been negligently injured or harmed and need expert legal advice and support.”
