Our specialist asbestos disease lawyers, Graeme Chisholm and Andrew Walker, will be hoping they back the right horse at Mesothelioma UK’s ‘Night at the Races’ tomorrow (18 October 2018).
The event will be held at the National Memorial Arboretum in Burton-on-Trent and it is hoped the evening will help to ‘gee up’ the asbestos disease charity’s fundraising efforts while raising awareness of its valuable work.
For many people and their families whose lives have been affected by a mesothelioma diagnosis, Mesothelioma UK provides a lifeline offering specialist mesothelioma information, support and education as well as working on their behalf to improve care and treatment.
Race night guests are encouraged to don their smartest race attire and can look forward to a champagne reception, delicious three course meal and plenty of opportunities to place bets on their favourite horses as the evening progresses.
Novum Law has donated a bottle of champagne as a raffle prize and will be attending the event with the South West Asbestos Support & Awareness Group (SWASAG), which is dedicated to helping people living with asbestos-related conditions across the South West of England, including Devon and Cornwall.
SWASAG, which launched last year and has a new website coming soon, aims to provide all the help, practical advice and support people with asbestos-related disease and their families need. The group holds regular monthly support meetings in Plymouth and Truro.
The Mesothelioma UK ‘Night at the Races’ promises to be a great evening celebrating the charity’s work and in particular, its successful integration into front-line NHS services ensuring specialist mesothelioma nursing is available, whenever and wherever it is needed.
