Many of the UK’s leading cancer professionals will be gathering in Dublin on the 29th to the 31st of January at the 18th BTOG (British Thoracic Oncology Group) annual 2020 conference.
It’s one of the highlights in our specialist asbestos disease solicitors’ calendars. Last year, BTOG attracted 921 attendees. They gathered to hear healthcare experts from eight different countries present on the latest developments in cancers of the chest and lungs (thoracic cancers).
What is BTOG?
BTOG is a world-class collaboration of medical professionals. Their mission is to support and educate healthcare experts and to create a professional community to exchange ideas, information and innovations. Its overall aim is to represent the needs of cancer patients and improve their outcomes.
Novum Law is thrilled to be supporting and attending the much-anticipated three-day event covering a wide range of interesting topics. These will include updates on: immunotherapy treatments and research findings into mesothelioma and advanced lung cancer. It will also cover the latest innovations and best practice in nursing care and support.
At this year’s event, we have a team of specialist asbestos disease solicitors attending. Lynn Yeates from our office in Southampton, Andrew Walker from Portsmouth and Phillip Gower from Cardiff will be heading to Dublin for the conference.
“As asbestos disease solicitors, it’s important for us to keep up-to-date with the latest developments in chest and lung cancers. BTOG gives us the opportunity to learn from leading cancer exerts and healthcare providers. And this will ultimately help us to advise our clients better. It also gives us a chance to talk to consultants and clinical nurse specialists about the specialist legal advice we provide patients. Another great advantage is that we can raise even greater awareness of how asbestos support groups, such as HASAG, offer significant support to patients and their families.”
If you are attending BTOG, you can come and find the Novum Law team on Stand 6 where you’ll have the opportunity to enter our special prize draw to win £100 worth of John Lewis vouchers! To find out more about BTOG 2020 visit https://www.btog.org/btog-events/annual-conference-2020/.
