All too often, lack of awareness of head injuries and their potential consequences can cause those in need of help to be overlooked which can lead to further difficulties.
As the media has recently had cause to report on a number of high profile individuals suffering devastating brain injuries, it is hoped that the understanding of this injury and its potentially devastating consequences will be improved. Recognition and responsible action taken by sporting bodies such as the RFU will only assist with that, as well as preserving the safety and wellbeing of their players.
